Texas Wine

Fall Creek Vineyards

BluebonnetsFall Creek boasts the first winery in the Texas Hill Country.  Ed and Susan Auler championed the wine movement since the very beginning and continuously advance viticulture and viniculture throughout the state.  Ed obtained the Texas Hill Country Appellation in the late 1980s.  Susan initiated the Texas Hill Country Wine and Food Festival in 1986.  The location on the North Shore of Lake Buchanan is peaceful and serene.  Springtime brings bluebonnets beneath the budding grapevines.

Susan occasionally teams up with Paula Lambert of the Mozzarella Cheese Factory of Dallas for wine and food pairing sessions at Central Market.  If you can’t make it to the vineyard, I suggest one of their classes as an alternative.  The pairings are great and the duo is totally entertaining.

Fall Creek offers a glimpse into Texas wine history and a variety of good quality wines. The winery is modern and stylish while maintaining a relaxed Texas atmosphere.
