Evan McKibbenOwner Gary McKibben's winemaking practices emphasize sustainability, using the least amount of chemical and mechanical interference as possible. Gary is committed to everything from hand picking at harvest to a rainwater irrigation system. Gary is also a practicing architect with an emphasis on sustainable building design. Gary's son Evan, a former hockey player, currently manages many of the vineyard and winemaking operations.

Red Caboose Winery PatioThe 'Red Caboose' concept comes from Gary's love for trains beginning when he was a kid in Iowa. Red Caboose sets the Texas Winery standard for going green, but it also sets a high standard for fine Texas wine, with some of the best the state has to offer. The McKibbens recently opened a second facility with a tasting room in Clifton that is open additional days and schedules frequent events.
