Louis Roederer was originally founded around 1776 as Dubois Pere & Fils. The Champagne house was eventually given the name Louis Roederer in the year 1833.
Louis Roederer Collection 242 is a brut white blend Champagne consisting of 36% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay and 22% Meunier. The base year 2017 makes up 56% of the wine. 10% of reserve wines are aged in oak.
Nose: "The perfectly ripe Chardonnay grapes lend the wine its aromas of ripe, sweet fruit complemented by subtle oaky notes."
